Got a job offer, a rental listing, a seller or an investment pitch that feels slightly off? Paste the message or upload screenshots of it, and Scam Check looks into it the way a careful friend would, in under a minute. It pulls out who the sender claims to be, every phone number, email, website, and the money they are asking for. Then it searches the web for each one: scam and fraud reports, reviews, company registration records and, for overseas jobs from Kenya, whether the agency shows up on the National Employment Authority's site. It also checks the message itself for the patterns that most scams share: a fee before you get anything, payment to a personal number, pressure to act today, contact only on WhatsApp, a company using a Gmail address, and pay that is too good to be true. You get a clear verdict - **Likely scam**, **Unclear, be careful** or **Looks legitimate** - and the two strongest signals behind it straight away. The full check adds every warning sign and reassuring sign with its evidence and a link to the source, what we searched and found nothing on, safe next steps for this kind of offer, where to report it, and a polite message you can send that asks them to prove they are genuine. Every web finding links to the page it came from; a finding we cannot trace to a real source is removed. The verdict is computed by fixed rules from those signals, so the same evidence always gives the same answer. Scam Check reports signals, not guilt: it never says a person or company is a fraud, and finding nothing online is not proof either way.
